Thanks for your query, which I will turn into a groupoids issue at https://github.com/gap-packages/groupoids/issues.

Today I am finalising a release of Utils, but will then investigate your problem.  In the meantime, perhaps you could let me have one of the examples which you have been attempting.

Dear Forum,
                     I’ve used FreeProductWithAmalgamation in the package
groupoids to construct the free amalgamated product of two groups. I would
like to know if there is a way to construct the inclusions of the two
groups into the free amalgamated product in a way GAP can calculate, for
example, images and kernels. I’ve tried but it seems that the group is too
big.
